My son, Jesse, has built the most amazing group of friends during the last two years of his school life at King Henry VIII in Coventry.
Ollie is one of those friends and I knew upon meeting his parents at the first birthday party of his that we attended that I was around like-minded friends.
Vicky had expressed a strong interest in having a family shoot with me already, but on seeing (and being impressed by!) the collection I created for Sam, Rob, Leo + Lila, she booked in and we set a date.
Living in Britain the one thing that we struggle to predict is the weather. Like a lot of my family shoots, we began the session in their house as I played with Ollie and Sophie and enjoyed a coffee with Vicky; warming everybody up to my presence. We got some gorgeous shots of them playing and then headed out into the garden just as the heavens opened. Raincoats and wellies were put on and we didn’t let the raindrops spoil our fun.
I believe these photographs prove that we can create beautiful memories together without the ‘perfect’ conditions. I hope you like them!
