I may be biased given that I now call Warwickshire my home, but I truly believe this gorgeous county has some of the best wedding venues to offer. I have been photographing weddings full time since 2011 and one of my favourite things about UK weddings is how diverse the options are for truly being able to make your wedding day feel personal to you. The venue is likely to be the first thing you book in order to secure your wedding date and the aesthetic you have chosen will then inspire most other decisions you make.
Why Get Married In Warwickshire?
Warwickshire is a region situated in the West Midlands, in the middle of England. It's rich with history and is perhaps most famous for being the birth-place of the incredible William Shakespeare, but also the creation of rugby (in the town of Rugby no less!)
It borders six other counties including Oxfordshire and Gloucestershire and to the south contains a small part of the Cotswolds.
Having relocated to the Midlands just over six years ago from London, I have been able to experience Warwickshire farm weddings, barn weddings, stately homes and those more intimate celebrations in a local town hall with dinner at a nearby restaurant.

Number one, you absolutely don't have to choose a wedding photographer that is familiar with your area. The two most important things to focus on when researching and contacting photographers is that you feel a connection to their work and you trust them to capture your day in all its beauty.
The benefits in choosing someone that is local are that they are much more likely to meet you at the venue for a recce, further building that trust. They are also well connected in the area and could supply recommendations of other wonderful suppliers such as hair, make up, videographers or florists that over time they have built relationships with.
