Sam & Pad chose to hold their wedding at The Gathering which frankly I would be happy to never leave. Safari tents with wood burners, a cosy farmhouse with Scandi vibes and hills that roll forever. Countryside always has my heart and this venue is almost perfection.
The last time I visited the Peak District must have been 9 years ago with my best friend at the time and all I can remember is Land Rover off-roading in the most breathtaking landscape with a couple of boys and perhaps even a dog. It was muddy and bumpy but there is such a spirit to that part of the UK; such an energy.
When you get married in the heart of the Peak District, it’s bound to drizzle for a little bit during the day. Unfortunately for Sam & Paddy it drizzled for, well, most of their day. However in the small breaks between the clouds passing the sunshine was electric and we made full use of it.
Notes from the couple: ‘Patrick and I couldn’t be happier with our wedding photos, they were better than we could have imagined. Claudia immediately made us feel at ease and felt like a friend straight away. She had the ability to blend in for the natural shots but also be part of the celebration and mix with our friends and family. Even the more formal shots were in a laid back atmosphere so has captured some great moments, along with all the details we wanted documenting. We love the way she uses light in her shots. Not only this but she supplied our photos in just over three weeks! Thank you so much.’
