Why should you have a Scottish elopement? Why should it be on the Isle of Harris? Read on and look at this wedding collection for the answer.
The entire process of a elopement or a wedding is a complete delight to me; I adore being part of the conversations in the lead up, partying with them on the day and hearing them wax lyrical about the images after I hit ‘send’ on the slideshow email but the ultimate compliment that I feel I can receive is being recommended to their friends and family.
I photographed Sian & Mike’s wedding in London last year and that’s exactly what they’ve done. Twice, in fact. Compliment overload.
First up was Dee & Ash’s elopement on the Isle of Harris. They chose to share it with Sian & Mike (Ash’s brother) and Adam & Nicole (Dee’s sister) plus Reggie; their part time beautiful border collie. And me. I’m not entirely sure I’ve ever been part of something that gave me so many goosebumps….
Scotland will forever have my heart following spending my teenage years in and around Edinburgh and I am so grateful for every opportunity I get to go home. I’d never been as far over as Harris and I am determined to go back as many times as I can in my life. I would try to explain why in words but beauty is better documented via imagery, so here goes…
Words from the couple: “When we asked Claudia to shoot our tiny elopement wedding, there was no doubt in our minds that we would love the results. Having met Claudia when she shot my brother’s wedding last year we knew that we not only loved her incredible style talent but also that she would fit right in with us – especially as we were planning such a tiny wedding (just 7 of us, including ourselves & Claudia). The images Claudia has given to us are even more amazing than we expected. The way she captured the joy and emotion of the day was simply stunning, and it truly was a pleasure having her join us for our special day. Needless to say, we are so, so pleased with the incredible work she has done for us. We can’t stop showing off our pictures to everyone, and we can’t recommend her highly enough.”
