the littlest companion

I’ve done it. I’ve made the decision. And, oh, it’s a weight off. I’ve been struggling for the last 8 months on how best to figure the work/baby balance. Should I be more of a stay at home mum? Should I work full time and organise childcare? Is it best for him to be with me, or with other children? If I’m a mum at home, how am I going to feel without those enquiries. If I’m working full time, how am I going to feel about Jesse being away? It’s a pull-and-tear situation.

Last night I sat and spoke with Gary about it for a long while. From now, until Jesse goes to school, I’ll be aiming to shoot 25 weddings a year at my current price and no less. I’ll have every Wednesday to work while he has a Dadda play day. I’ll drop in and out of the office in the evenings/during nap times for the rest of the week. The other days, I’ll be with J. I have a few ideas of things we can do lined up, and if you have any ideas of things to do with little ones or have been in a similar position, drop me a comment :)

Today we had lunch at the amazing Ashlyns Farm Shop near our house and then went and met some Alpacas at an Alpaca Farm just down the road. It’s amazing what you can find when you’re looking.
