My List Of Love #4

I feel like I ought to only write when I have something meaningful to say, but in truth I find the act of writing itself cathartic.

So, if you’re happy for me to share my ramblings here, then I’m happy to ramble.

I’m exhausted today. I shot a really special intimate wedding yesterday and then had a meeting with one of my lovely December couples later on in the evening; in London.

I find London draining.

Don’t get me wrong, I love the ability to find a Leon restaurant pretty easily, I adore the good coffee (yes, read hipster coffee), I definitely find that ‘buzz’ in the atmosphere a real high, but the HUMANS. Fuck me, the humans. Why have we forgotten how to walk in a consistent straight line. Why just STOP in the middle of a busy pedestrian walkway and look baffled!?

I spend the majority of my time in the Big City thinking things in my head that just wouldn’t be appropriate to say out loud and then the negativity and bile of my brain builds up over the hours and I get home and want to curl up into a ball.

Added to the fact Jesse woke up at 5.15am this morning and demanded breakfast.

So I’m nursing a soy flat white and frowning at people in the gym cafe. Head phones in.

So, this is probably a good time to talk about things I found positive this week!

Jason Lee has fast become one of my favourite beings. I adore this video interviewing film photographers in LA.

Brene Brown talking on vulnerability.

I rewatched Capote the other night and was reminded again that criminality isn’t always that black and white. It’s a beautifully shot film as well.

Unvael Journal, I follow this account on Instagram and they make these beautiful journals.

Have you found anything online that has made you smile this week? Please share! x
