Word of mouth is by far one of the strongest assets to any small business, and this wedding is a perfect example.
Claire found me via her best friend Cerys, who happens to be the beautiful cousin of my ex boyfriend. Thankfully Cerys and her equally gorgeous sister Amy stayed amicable with me after our separation and seeing them again was truly one of the highlights of this day.
The day in question, 3rd of August 2019, started with blazing sunshine over Coventry. The drive to groom prep was twenty minutes from my home (absolute bliss), where the boys helped each other get into their smart suits, rented from local store Black Tie Coventry. I love being around the boys in the morning, groom prep so often gets overlooked but it reminds me the camaraderie I experienced working in male-dominated kitchens in the former life I had as a Chef.
After 45 minutes or so with the guys, I headed over to meet Claire and the girls back at Claire’s mum’s house, another joyous ten minute drive away. They all looked gorgeous having had make up done by Kiah Matthews and hair done by Bethan at House of Hair Coventry.
Brett’s face as the anticipation of Claire about to walk down the aisle at their ceremony, held at Christ The King, is one of my favourite moments to date. The reality of what is about to hit and the pure emotion is truly something else.
Finally, the day continued (and subsequently completed) at The Cart Shed wedding venue, which has quickly become a firm favourite for me.
