I recently entered into the world of commercial work, specifically undertaking a few jobs to make peoples faces look pretty on camera in a way most commonly described as a ‘headshot’.
After a bit of playing around with studio lighting, including the images below, I quickly decided I didn’t want to get too involved with the fuss of expensive equipment, for a multitude of reasons. I have therefore have opted to target a natural light or one speedlite approach going forward…
Owen came down to the studio a couple of months ago for a wedding photography one-to-one workshop and I took these for him using my Cactus speedlite and V6II trigger.
Thanks for the review punk: “I visited Claudia and The Photography Initiative studio to get some shiny new headshots for my shiny new website and learn more about photography. The headshots look banging, people I actually haven’t spoken to in ages popped out of the internet to tell me how good they are.
Claudia’s work as a wedding photographer is amazing and I was lucky enough to be her first ever workshop attendee, also amazing. I came out looking prettier and feeling smarter than when I got there.”
