It’s such an important responsibility in my photography that I have the opportunity to document two families, two cultures, sometimes even two languages coming together. Julia & Greg chose to get married at Greg’s step-mothers house in Camberley, having a woodland wedding ceremony in amongst the trees that towered over the back garden.
“Our photographer was Claudia Rose Carter. What to say about Claudia? I have seen her photos on Love My Dress many times so I’m sure you think as me that she is an amazing photographer! She is just great! I showed the pictures to my friends and colleagues and they were in awe!
We received some amazing comments. Everyone loved how they didn’t even notice when she was taking their picture.”
Here is their story…
There are many reasons to have your wedding at home, but my favourite would be that you can then ask a humanist or a close friend to officiate the ceremony. You have greater choice over locations and if nature is a passion of yours (as it is mine), why compromise on that? Julia & Greg had a friend officiate and held their dinner, speeches and dancing in a marquee behind the house.
If you are looking for a humanist for your wedding, I can highly recommend Laura Gimson.
