Laura & Jon’s Hampton Manor Wedding

Bridal Prep at the Airbnb

Laura spent her wedding morning in a nearby Airbnb with her bridesmaids and close family. The atmosphere was filled with excitement and a touch of nervous energy, as final touches were made and glasses of fizz were passed around. Surrounded by five bridesmaids and two flower girls, it was lively but still full of those small, quiet moments in between.

Laura wore a stunning Charlie Brear dress, sourced through Cicily Bridal. Paired with a W Collective veil found at Bridal Reloved in Shrewsbury, the look was modern, elegant, and finished with a veil that deserves its own mention… it was bold, dramatic, and completely transformed the look into something unforgettable. The veil wasn’t just an accessory, it was a statement.

Her hair was styled by Emma Ruby, her own hairdresser and a close friend, which made the morning feel all the more personal. Makeup was by Nicola Honey Artistry, who kept everything fresh and glowing. Between the veil, the hair, and the soft but polished makeup, Laura was every inch the modern bride with her own twist.

Groom Prep at the Airbnb

Jon got ready in a different Airbnb with his groomsmen. There were three in total, all dressed in sharp suits from Charles Tyrwhitt, with ties knotted and pocket squares in place. The atmosphere here was a mix of laughter, joking around, and a few final nerves.

These moments are often as telling as the bridal prep; less about the details and more about the camaraderie. The buttonholes from Primrose Flower Boutique were pinned on, cufflinks adjusted, and after a final toast they were ready to make the short walk to the church.

Ceremony at Hampton-in-Arden Church

Laura and Jon chose to marry at St Mary and St Bartholomew Church, right in Hampton-in-Arden. It’s a short walk from the Airbnb and just across the grounds from Hampton Manor, which makes it one of the loveliest setups for couples who want both tradition and convenience.

The church itself has a classic, timeless atmosphere, and as Laura walked down the aisle on the arm of her father, the dramatic veil floated behind her. Jon’s face said everything.

Their bridesmaids and flower girls added an extra burst of joy to the procession, and their carefully designed newspaper-style order of service was another highlight. Created by Laura’s bridesmaid Jasmine and printed by the Newspaper Club, it was such a fun, unique detail. Guests loved flicking through it during the service, and it gave everyone a keepsake they could take home.

Hampton Manor Reception

After the ceremony, everyone made the short walk back through the grounds to Hampton Manor for the reception. This transition is one of the best things about getting married here — no cars, no coaches, just a relaxed stroll that keeps the energy flowing and gives you a chance to soak in the moment.

At the reception, guests were greeted with drinks in the gardens while Primrose Flower Boutique’s florals decorated the space. Laura wore her bespoke leather jacket — another favourite detail of the day — which gave her look a cool, personal edge that paired beautifully with the float of her veil.

Dinner was served in the Courtyard, surrounded by Hampton Manor’s stylish interiors. Instead of an elaborate cake, one of Laura’s bridesmaids, Rachel, had baked a small, heartfelt one. It was the perfect personal touch, proving that not every wedding detail has to be polished by a professional to be meaningful.

Bride and Groom Portraits

We made the most of Hampton Manor’s grounds for portraits. There are so many tucked away corners that feel private, and it was a chance for Laura and Jon to catch their breath together before rejoining their guests. From the greenhouse to the wooded edges of the grounds, to the gardens filled with flowers, the variety here makes each couple’s portraits feel unique.

Laura’s veil added drama to every shot, while Jon’s classic Charles Tyrwhitt suit grounded the look. Together, they balanced elegance with a relaxed ease, never over-posed, just quietly comfortable around one another.

Evening Party

As evening fell, the party began. Guests filled the dance floor, glasses were raised, and the atmosphere shifted into one of celebration. Laura swapped her veil for her leather jacket at points, which gave her a different look for the evening and let her move more freely on the dance floor.

The speeches were heartfelt, funny, and emotional in equal measure. Jon’s groomsmen brought plenty of humour, while Laura’s family shared words that had everyone reaching for a tissue.

By the time the band started, the room was filled with laughter and dancing, exactly the kind of energy that makes Hampton Manor evenings so memorable.

Final Thoughts

Laura and Jon’s wedding was the perfect balance of tradition and personality. From the timeless church ceremony to the fun, thoughtful details like their newspaper order of service and Laura’s leather jacket, everything felt like them.

The suppliers they chose — from Primrose Flower Boutique’s florals to Nicola Honey’s makeup and Emma Ruby’s hairstyling — all contributed to a day that was elegant but never stuffy. It was personal, joyful, and stylish in a way that only Hampton Manor can pull off.

If you’re planning your own celebration and want inspiration for a Hampton Manor wedding, Laura and Jon’s day shows how you can take a stunning venue and make it completely your own.
