Ti Amo, in Wales
Back at my favourite space in the UK… Fforest, just outside Ceredigion town on the West coast of Wales.
Laura + Marco had the perfect weather for their 2013 summer wedding weekend!
An LGBT Love Wedding In London
Tom + Alex's wedding at Trinity Buoy Wharf is one of my favourite collections from last year, so it's a wonder that it's only now gracing the pages of this journal. A day of laughter, tears, two ceremonies, lots of champagne and some very glamorous outfits. At Claudia Rose Carter I fully give my heart to LGBT, Black + POC communities and I endeavour to promote more diversity in the work that I showcase. This is a safe space.
A Charlie Brear Wedding Dress For A London Wedding | Kirst + Henry
So when Henry proposed to Kirst at home on one of their Wednesday date nights I was so thrilled that she choose me to come and document their day because I knew it’d be like hanging out with old friends. It was. Trinity Buoy Wharf is one of my favourite venues in London and I’m lucky enough to have been there twice this year.
A Splash Of Colour In A London Chainstore | Natalie + Ranil
The utterly gorgeous Chainstore at Trinity Buoy Wharf in London is one of my all-time favourite venues in the city. Simple to get to by car or public transport it boasts the amenities that you'd expect from a wedding venue in London, but situated so close to the water and being part of the greater Trinity Buoy Wharf community means it has a sense of exclusivity and peace to it.
131 The Promenade Cheltenham Wedding | Liv + Dan
They chose 131 The Promenade in Cheltenham for the majority of their celebrations and despite it being the hottest day of the year, we smashed it. I'm personally so thrilled with this collection and I know Dan & Liv were too.
Five Favourite Things About 131 The Promenade, Cheltenham
The light! It's like a Renaissance painting waiting to happen.
The styling. It's a Pinterest-lovers dream.
The food, with multiple menus created to a high standard.
It's right across the road from a park and has gorgeous outside space.
Gin + Juice, one of the most incredible bars I've ever been into.
Self-Designed Feathered Dress with Sexy Vibes | Lucy + Steve
I first met Lucy whilst photographing Sam + Laura's wedding in the Cotswolds in 2018, whilst she smashed life in her capacity as a make up artist. We got chatting about her own wedding plans before the girls arrived for make-up and I was gutted to find out that a) she'd picked one of my favourite ever venues, b) the aesthetics of the day sounded incredible and c) she'd already booked her photographer. Real life feelings of missing out on something very special were going on... does that pass as FOMO for the future?
A Floral Dress in Tuscany
The wedding of Hamish + Sara will stay in my mind and in my heart for years to come.
Firstly, because it was in Tuscany, which I adore. I’d photographed at this venue (Montestigliano) once before as a second photographer and dreamed of returning.
Château de Cazenac Wedding | Dordogne | South of France
Weddings at Chateau de Cazenac come with the incredible wedding planners, Marry Me In France, to ensure that every part of your celebrations are what you dreamed. I interviewed Beth Stretton, who began Marry Me In France 15 years ago...
Borgo Egnazia, Puglia Wedding | Nae + Dave
Oh, Puglia. Where do I even start with this one!?
I'll firstly take you back to 2013 when Hamish + Sara married under the Tuscan sunshine at Montestigliano. With Australian/Swedish Australian heritages, it was only expected that many of their guests would have flown over from Australia to party with them.
A quick fast-forward to 2016 for Emma + Shaya's wedding, also in Tuscany, where I worked with the wonderful Alice from Italian Style Weddings.
These two celebrations of love came together to create the opportunity for me to photograph Nae + Dave's wedding week-long celebrations in Puglia back in May of 2019. Hamish + Sara know Nae + Dave well, both being Australian and with work connections between them. The icing on the cake was the recommendation from Alice too.
A DIY marquee wedding in Kent
I can’t post this journal without mentioning the toast!! That photograph of Lauren’s toast has been mentioned by SO many couples booking with me in the years following 2012. Parents thought it was weird… but Bride and Grooms often said that they felt that photograph encapsulated how I document the day.
